Abby jimenez series part of your world
“Grace costs you nothing”
― Abby Jimenez,
Part of Your World
Let me be completely honest here: the reason why I checked out this book is because the title had me singing ‘Part of Your World’ from ‘The Little Mermaid’ movie. One of the main characters also has red hair, so…. it was pretty much a given that I would read this book.
Part of Your World
by Abby Jimenez is a modern fairy tale, a bit of a reverse Cinderella story. (Bonus: it’s dual points-of-view, so you get to see the story unfold from both main characters’ perspectives, which is a major plus for me in romance novels!) If you like books by Casey McQuiston or Emily Henry, you should like this title (or really anything else by Abby Jimenez). Some content warnings as provided by the author: Emotional abuse by side character, on page gaslighting by side character, and on page physical abuse of a secondary character. Main character is an emergency room doctor – there are brief mentions of fatal accidents of minors, though we don’t see these on the page. Let’s talk about the book!

universe, but it can in theory be read as a standalone. This time, the focus shifts to Sloan Monroe, who’s still mourning the loss of her fiancé two years later. Her life is flipped upside down when a runaway dog jumps into her car—and into her heart.
The dog’s owner, Jason, is a famous musician currently on tour in Australia, and their connection builds through a series of flirty texts and phone calls as Sloan and Jason start to fall for each other. But with Jason’s career taking off, their new relationship faces some major hurdles.
Musicians, emotional baggage, and a vibe that screams “read this on a rainy vacation with headphones in.”
What readers are saying:
This book is a favorite among dog lovers and romance fans alike. Many readers on Goodreads have commented on the chemistry between Sloan and Jason, calling it “electric” and “heart-melting.” One Amazon reviewer said, “This book had me from the very first chapter. The dynamic

Review:
I accidentally read this series out of order, beginning with
Just for the Summer
. Although the books can be read as standalones, I realized while reading
Part of Your World
that I was definitely missing some nuance and backstory/context. That said, I’m also glad I read
Just for the Summer
first, because if I had begun in order, I wouldn’t have completed the series, and I can’t imagine not having read
Just for the Summer,
as it was one of my favorite reads of 2024.
Alexis comes from a dysfunctional, well-off family. Daniel comes from a tight-knit small town. Their differences cause some tension, particularly for Alexis, given her difficult family situation. Social gaps, age gaps, lifestyle gaps… there’s a lot working against their relationship, but thes
