Earthen Allied Race Guide
The Earthen are a new playable race arriving in the War Within. They are ancient denizens freshly freed from the edicts that bound them. The intro scenario takes place at the Halls of Awakening, and they start at Level 10.
The following classes are available to the Earthen Allied Race:
Hunter;
Mage;
Monk;
Paladin;
Priest;
Rogue;
Shaman;
Warlock;
Warrior.
Allied Races: Earthen (Hidden Character Achievement) is the hidden achievement that lists all the steps necessary to make them playable in World of Warcraft:
Level-Up Campaign — You must reach Level 80 and complete the War Within level-up campaign. There are 3 chapters per zone, for a total of 12 chapters.
The War Within — Completion of the War Within max-level campaign. You must complete 5 chapters up to and including

side quest in Isle of Dorn. This questline starts with

How to Unlock the Earthen Allied Race in The War Within
The War Within expansion lets you play as a new group called the Earthen! Here’s a super simple guide to help you unlock them.
Steps to Unlock the Earthen
To unlock the Earthen race, follow these easy steps:
Finish the Main Story
— Play through the main story in The War Within.
Complete Three Side Quests
— You need to do these specific quests:
Hope, An Anomaly
in Isle of Dorn
Mourning Rise
in Isle of Dorn
Broken Tools
in the Ringing Deeps
Get the Achievement
— After you do all these quests, you’ll earn the
Allied Races: Earthen
achievement and get the
Reins of the Slatestone Ramolith
mount.
There might be an extra step to unlock the Earthen, but it’s not confirmed yet.
Starting Your Earthen Character
When you create an Earthen character, they start at level 10. You’ll begin in a special area with a quest called
The Awakening Machine
. This quest helps you learn about the Earthen and gets you ready to explore the world.
After finishing the starting quests, your Earthen character will go to Stormwind or Orgrimmar to start the real adventure!

A new race has made its way to
World of Warcraft
within the latest expansion,
The War Within.
The new Earthen Race is special, as it is the very first Allied Race that is available for both Horde and Alliance Factions. (The Pandaren aren’t an allied race!) Unlocking the new Earthen Race is not as cut and dry as it may seem, so let’s discuss how to get your hands on the new Allied Race and what passives they have to offer.
Unlocking The Earthen Allied Race
Before you can get your hands on this dwarven collective, you will first need to complete the main story campaign quests for
The War Within
, then several quests affiliated with the new race. You will know which quests are working toward the new race thanks to the
“Earthen Allied Race” icon
found at the bottom of the quest page.
The War Within
campaign will need to be completed in its entirety, which includes five more chapters once you hit level 80. From there, you will gain access to a questline in the Mourning Rise area in the Isle of Dorn, which begins with “Before I Depart.”

Death Knights were also available during testing, but Blizzard ultimately decided to scrap them because they made no sense for obvious lore reasons.
How to Unlock the Earthen Allied Race
To unlock the Earthen Allied Race in World of Warcraft, you must earn the following achievement in the game: Allied Races: Earthen. The exact requirements are:
Completion of the War Within level-up campaign.
Completion of the Broken Tools side quest in the Ringing Deeps.
Completion of Remember Me, Earthen side quest in Isle of Dorn.
Completion of the Behind Closed Doors side quest in the Ringing Deeps.
