The IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition is the leading global event for water and allied professionals, covering the full water cycle. Held every two years by the International Water Association, it brings together thought-leaders, decision makers, top researchers, and business innovators from across and beyond the water sector to shape the future of water.
Following a highly successful 2024 edition in Toronto, the 15th Congress will take place in Glasgow, UK, in 2026, with around 10,000 participants expected from around the world.
The event features a comprehensive technical programme selected by a global expert committee, with presentations, workshops, and posters showcasing the latest knowledge and innovation. Surrounding this, a wider programme includes keynotes, panels, leadership forums, technology showcases, and an integrated trade exhibition, delivering strong impact and value.

The International Water Association (IWA), in partnership with the Canadian Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) and the Canadian Association on Water Quality (CAWQ) and with the support of Destination Toronto, is proud to announce that the 2024 IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition (WWCE) will take place in Toronto, Canada, from 11-15 August 2024. It will be held in the first-class facilities of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Hosting the IWA WWCE in Toronto in 2024 provides an outstanding opportunity to bring together water professionals and the wider stakeholders needed to secure progress on water in a unique global forum, allowing participants to network and to share insights and experience on the latest trends in the best practice, innovative technologies, and management approaches.
With water professionals from more than 100 countries expected to be present at this prestigious event, the experience and expertise of Canada and the wider North American region will provide the backdrop to an event that will bring together leading researchers and practitioners from around the world.&

Bangkok, Thailand

8-12 December 2025.
It builds on the resounding success of the
2023 edition in Kigali, Rwanda
,
which was a landmark event for water, sanitation, and climate resilience in low- and middle-income countries. Attracting nearly 2,700 participants from 85 countries, the 2023 Congress featured an engaging programme of 39 technical sessions, 40 workshops, and 5 forums, including the High-Level Summit on Sanitation and the Climate Smart Utilities recognition programme. It will take place at the
Queen Sirikit National Convention Center
, Bangkok.
The 2025 edition is co-hosted by Asian Institute of Technology and has the overall theme of
Water, sanitation, and innovation – pathways to progress and a resilient future.
The comprehensive programme will be built around five thematic tracks:
Ensure Safe Drinking Water: Innovative approaches for treatment and supply.
Advancing Wastewater Treatment and Sanitation Services: Sustainable solutions for all.
Smart Water Management: Integrated approaches for effective water management and planning
