Best Tank Builds for PvE and PvP in New World: Aeternum
In New World, set on the mysterious and isolated island of Aeternum, tanks are crucial for achieving success in both PvE and PvP situations. Whether you are in front of dungeons or faction wars, a good tank build can make all the difference. Tanks manage aggro, soak damage, and protect their team. Although the basics of tanking are the same, the strategies are slightly different between PvE and PvP.
In PvE tanks are all about durability and crowd control for groups of mobs, in PvP they are about mobility, survivability, and disruption for fast-paced player vs player. To enhance your tanking experience, buy New World Gold from LootBar, the trusted and reputed platform to purchase in-game currency of different games. These coins can help you gather the resources necessary to refine your builds, obtain gear, and maintain an edge in your adventures throughout Aeternum. This guide delves into the

In New World, you will be up against a ton of enemies and players for battle, and while some of them are easy to beat, others will deal heavy damage making it difficult for players to stand against them. Thus, it is important to create a good tank build in order to get a good defence against enemies and bosses. Thus, we have provided the New World best tank build below so that you can spend your time on the correct items, including attributes, gear, and more.

Attributes
In our best New World DPS build, we would recommend you to take your Strength to at least 250 and Constitution to 300. Apart from this, we would recommend you to spend the rest of the points levelling up Focus, which will increase the incoming healing and decrease the ability cooldown. Apart from this, use heavy armor for better defence.

I
Been having fun in PVE playing as a tank (heavy armor w SnS and GS). Great for expeditions :)
Now my friends and I are moving into PVP (open world PVP and outpost rush) and so far I'm feeling pretty vulnerable in my tank build. My biggest issue is dealing with ranged enemies -- hard to close the distance on them while they mow me down. Even when I engage in melee, it doesn't feel like the heavy armor does much to save me... I've also noticed in outpost rush that, unlike when the game first came out, I'm not seeing many other folks in heavy armor/tank builds.
Curious if there are any viable heavy armor tank builds for PVP or should I switch out my build to some sort of ranged setup if I'm going to do more PVP.
Thoughts/recommendations?
