2025 AQHA World and Adequan® Select World


The qualifying period for the 2025 AQHA World and Adequan® Select World is August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, based on the event's end show date.

Exhibitors and their American Quarter Horses can qualify by meeting one of the following requirements:




Earn Qualifying Points:
Earn the required number of
qualifying points
for the desired class during the 2025 AQHA World and Select World qualifying period, August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, and pay the standard entry fee. This qualifying achievement will be added to the horse’s permanent AQHA record.




Participate in Four AQHA-Approved Events:

 
Participate in four AQHA-approved events during the 2025 AQHA World and Select World qualifying period and pay the standard entry fee, regardless of the number of points earned. Participation credit is earned by horse on a class-by-class basis for the open division and by horse/exhibitor combination for both the amateur and Select amateur divisions. AQHA event is defined as

Versatility

 Ranch Horse World Show Qualifications:



Qualifying Period: 
March 1 – February 28


Qualifying is as follows:



To qualify in the All-Around to compete for the All-Around Versatility Ranch Horse:



Senior aged (6 years-old and older) horses must earn one (1) all-around point in the Open division

Junior aged (5 years-old and younger) horses must earn one-half (.5) of an all-around point in the Open division (Note – if a horse was 5-years-old as of December 31 it will still be eligible to compete in the junior division, and abide by junior equipment rules.)

To qualify to compete in the all-around Cowboy, Amateur, Limited Amateur, Youth and Limited Youth divisions, the horse must earn one-half (.5) of an all-around point in those Divisions (in Amateur, Limited Amateur, Youth and Limited Youth, must be a horse/exhibitor combination)

Or, show in three or more shows in the All-Around competition of the appropriate division



To qualify in individual classes:
 


Senior aged horses must earn one (1) point in that class in the Open Division

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the 2024 Nutrena AQHA and Adequan® Select World Championship Shows will award a minimum of $4.3 million awarded in purse, prizes and exhibitor appreciation.


The American Quarter Horse Association will award a minimum of $4.3 million in purse and prizes at the 2024 Nutrena AQHA and Adequan® Select World Championship Shows! This represents a guaranteed $200,000 increase from 2023 when the show awarded more than $4 million in purse, prizes and exhibitor appreciation, creating a landmark prize pot to mark the 50th anniversary of the show.

To continually improve upon the marquee event, AQHA is increasing the added money in addition to the other improvements made over the past year to the international event – all with no increase in entry fees from 2023.

“We are increasing the prize money by a minimum of $200,000, with no entry fee increase for 2024,” said Jim Hunt, AQHA president. “We brought back World Show jackets in 2023 and all of this is in an effort to further promote the World Show as a premiere event for exhibitors to attend across the equine industry.”
