Bought sub still counts as free trial world of warcraft

My account is still considered trial, but I have 3 months of free game time

I have 3 free months of game time for buying several epic expansions and later set up a payment plan for a reoccurring sub but my account is considered a trial account I am able to level over 20 and everything but can’t receive mail. Update : only ONE of my characters Runafear doesn’t have the trial account stipulation but I dont know why

If this was done within the last 24hrs that would be why it takes up 2 24hrs for the magority of the restrictions to be lifted. This is why we cant have nice things alot of those gold sellers and hackers would be even worse other wise.

And even if it’s been under twenty-four hours, it doesn’t hurt to log out entirely of everything and log back in. Sometimes that will nudge things into place. If that doesn’t do, then give it the 24 hours and then check back here.

When was this changed?? Is this really necessary? Then the receiving of mail should really be prevented, too.
I just sent 1000 gold to a trial char to buy something on the AH because the game is deceptive about learned transmog appearances (claiming it is unlearned on a non-compatibel char and then when you check on a compatible char it suddenly says you know it but from another item), and then it told me I cannot buy stuff on the AH. So I wanted to send the gold back to my bank char on the realm but the game tells me that is restricted, too! Imagine if I had sent a lot more! Now 1000 gold is stuck on that char and I probably have to open a ticket to get this resolved, just because Blizzard again didn’t think.

Confused about RaF

Hi,

I’m thinking about coming back to WoW for a bit and play with a friend who has only played the starter edition previously.

Now the article about RaF states that RaF can only be used on accounts ‘newer than 30 days’.

My friend has never bought gametime but has played the starter edition about a year ago once.


-is a starter edition older than 30 days eligeable for Raf?

-do I need the latest expansion to get the RaF rewards or is a level 110 subscription enough
-does my friend need to buy complete edition or BFA or do they need just the lvl 110 subscription for us to benefit from RaF
-does buying a 3rd month of gametime for the mount reward mean 3 months actually bought or does it include the free month from complete edition?
-does gametime bought from external vendors locally count for the RaF rewards 3 months?

Sorry for all the questions but the article is incredibly vague and unclear imo

I can’t answer everything but i can try to answer the stuff i know.


Starter editions are still eligeable for RaF, even if he made it years ago.

a sub is enough to get the reward, no need


New account restrictions must be removed in anniversary classic

There are restrictions for new accounts which prevents them from using AH, Trade or mail for 28 days.

I’ll note that I don’t have those restrictions, my account is not new. However I met quite a few players with this restriction.

I think that those players basically cannot play anniversary to the fully extent. It’s like forced self-found. They’ll leave and that’s probably sizeable chunk of players who wanted to try classic.

I understand that those restrictions might be necessary to fight botting, but they do more harm right now, they fight actual players.

It is very annoying. My guild is sending me greens but I feel bad not being able to send anything back or use the basic trade system up atm. A whole month of this is somewhat ridiculous imo.
