C&D World session preview: Key strategies for effective fleet maintenance
At C&D World 2025, March 11-14 in Dallas, industry professionals will have the opportunity to expand their expertise in construction and demolition (C&D) recycling through a series of dynamic educational sessions.
In a session titled “Key Strategies for Effective Fleet Maintenance,” March 13 from 9:45-11 a.m. Central, Chad Abell, vice president of operations, Coastal Waste & Recycling; Tom Milani, CEO, Michael Brothers Hauling; Allen Burns, president, Richard S. Sustainability business practices present challenges for many companies, but these challenges can be opportunities to create more strong and resilient companies, according to Susan K. Robinson, keynote speaker at the 2025 C&D World Conference & Exhibition—and embracing these practices may be necessary for future success.
Robinson, a former sustainability policy director for WM who now runs Susan K. Robinson Consulting, spoke on the future of construction and demolition (C&D) recycling with Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) Executive Director and CEO Terri Ward as part of a fireside chat that served as the opening keynote session for C&D World, CDRA’s annual conference and exhibition.
Sustainability makes good business sense, Robinson said, adding that it’s important for operators to think beyond tons and diversion and to remember the value and strength of being good stewards to the environment and developing good business practices to create resilience.

In the Leadership Insights: An Executive Panel on Industry Trends and Challenges session March 13 from 8-9:15 a.m. CT, Lincoln Young, president of Rockwood Sustainable Solutions, Lebanon, Tennessee, will lead a panel discussion featuring Joe E. Posillico, director of facility operations at Posillico Inc., Farmingdale, New York; Ray Windham, regional vice president at Arcosa Crushed Concrete, Dallas; Jim Marcinko, vice president of recycling operations at WM, Houston; Jack Canty, president and CEO at ReSource Waste Services, Salem, New Hampshire; and Clete Elms, chief operating officer at GreenWaste Recovery, San Jose, California.
The panelists will discuss the opportunities and challenges in diversification, the impact of changing construction materials and technology on operations and more.
